The final tally of teams has yet to be posted on WPSLsoccer.com, but previous announcements have revealed that the Women’s Premier Soccer League will have at least 3 new teams in the Pacific Northwest in 2019.
In October Epic Sports announced they would be bringing a team to Victoria, BC. More recently 2 Washington clubs jumped on board with the announcements of WPSL teams for Spokane Shadow and PacNW (Tukwila).
Last season the WPSL had a sprawling Northwest Conference with 7 teams spread out over Oregon, Washington and BC. The Sounders Women won the top spot. This year the number of teams could be as high as 10 or more, depending on who will return from a year ago. The league page for the conference currently shows 9 clubs, but it has yet to list Victoria, Spokane and PacNW.
