REDMOND, WA— Crossfire Premier will be back on the pitch in men’s soccer in 2019 in the Western Washington Premier League (WWPL). The initial news of the latest addition was posted today on the league’s Facebook page.
Crossfire fielded a men’s side in the USL2 (formerly called the Premier Development League or “PDL”) from 2010-2016. They were called “Washington Crossfire.” The rights to the club were sold and they moved to BC to become the TSS Rovers.
The number of clubs in the WWPL now stands at 10 with the additions of Snohomish County FC, Tacoma Narrows FC, Puget Sound FC and Crossfire. They will join 6 clubs that plan to return to the league for a second season: Kirkland FC (Champions), Lacey Pocket Gophers, Grays Harbor Gulls FC, Federal Way FC, Harbor Soccer Club and Issaquah SC Gunners.
The WWPL was launched in 2018 as an elite adult amateur men’s soccer league for the western side of the state of Washington.
