BREMERTON, WA— The Oly-Pen Force and Tacoma Narrows FC might have anticipated meeting next year in men’s pre-season action with their EPLWA (Force) and WWPL (Narrows) men’s clubs. But they aren’t waiting around until then. Instead the clubs are getting their women’s sides together on October 20 for a competitive indoor match in Bremerton.
Tacoma Narrows FC are building a club in the greater Pierce County area that looks to include both men and women and compete both indoors and out. It makes sense for them to play the Force — a club that already has that exact setup of teams.
The Oly-Pen Force Women (NWPL) are familiar with the indoor game. They played a friendly against each other in a split squad match at last year’s Force Foundation event. Now they get to suit up against an outside foe, which should make the match all the more interesting. It will also be the first opponent for Narrows FC Women indoors.
