“Olympic Peninsula Force” reveal new name, updated crest

The Olympic Sports Center and the Olympic Force recently announced that the indoor center at Pendergast Park in Bremerton will be renamed as Olympic Peninsula Sports (or Oly-Pen Sports); the Olympic Force soccer club will officially be renamed Olympic Peninsula Force (or Oly-Pen Force). Both Oly-Pen Sports and Oly-Pen Force will use the same logo going forward (pictured above).

On the club website the Force stated: We are making these changes for two main reasons. First we feel that “Oly-Pen” more completely describes the community area of the entire Olympic Peninsula. As we are striving to help and support the entire area, we felt that changing the name would feel more inclusive to everyone.  The second reason is to clearly distinguish ourselves from any confusion or possible mis-association with the US Olympic Committee.

The Oly-Pen Force compete in the Western Indoor Soccer League and Evergreen Premier League (Men) and Northwest Premier League (Women.)
