Seattle NPSL club posts that Highline CC grad Mohamed Jeylani has died

Seattle National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) club OSA FC / Pac NW have posted on their Facebook page that current player and 2017 Highline College NWAC champion Mohamed Jeylani has died.

We have been unable to find any news reports online. However when checking various social media sites and posts from mourning friends, families and fellow players it is believed that Jeylani drowned. One post says his funeral will be this Friday June 22.

Mohamed Jeylani played youth soccer with West Seattle Soccer Club, where he was an award-winner. Jeylani attended West Seattle High School, where he played for the Wildcats. He played for the 2017 NWAC Champion Highline College Thunderbirds, leading that team with 8 assists during the season.

Jeylani’s Facebook page profile says he lived in Seattle but was originally from Nairobi. Kenya.
