The five clubs in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) Northwest Conference are getting their feet wet with early season matches. So far (thank you, Wikipedia) FCM Portland and the Kitsap Pumas are topping the division. OSA FC/Pac NW are third. The Spokane Shadow have two heart-breaking draws and PDX FC are winless after two matches.

NPSL Official Logo 2016Not much separated the clubs at this point in the table and that has been true of the match scores as well. The Spokane Shadow have led twice only to see wins turn into draws. The real heartbreaker was at Starfire against OSA FC / Pac NW when the Shadow led 4-0 in the second half only to see an own goal start a furious comeback for OSA in an eventual 4-4 draw.

Memorial Weekend Matches

The NPSL NW has matches scheduled for the Memorial Day Weekend. The Kitsap Pumas host OSA FC / Pac NW in an important match on Saturday May 26 at 7 PM at Gordon Field.

In Portland the latest edition of the local derby sees PDX FC play current leaders FCM Portland at Concordia University Stadium on Saturday May 26 at 7 PM.

OSA FC / Pac NW made a collage after their match with Spokane. who can blame them? They were down 4-0 in the second half then pulled off an amazing rally to get a 4-4 draw.
