Lacey FC takes the lead in WWPL

The Western Washington Premier League (WWPL) is through its first month ever of play and the Lacey Pocket Gophers stand on top of the table.

The league’s results page shows that many of the matches have been close affairs. A couple have been blow outs. The Gophers are unbeaten after four matches and with a +9 goal differential. Kirkland FC are 3 points back but with a match in hand.

Memorial Day Weekend will feature two matches in the WWPL, Grays Harbor Gulls will host Harbor Force at 5 PM at Stewart Field in Aberdeen on Saturday the 26th. That same day Twin City Union will host Federal Way FC at 7:30 PM at Tiger Stadium in Centralia.

The WWPL is a new elite adult amateur men’s soccer league that features upcoming clubs and players on the western side of the state of Washington. The league was founded during the winter of 2017 and made its debut at the end of April 2018.
