SEATTLE,WA— A wild and wet night at Championship Field ended with the Washington Huskies triumphing over Seattle U 2-1 Thursday evening. “Every team has their obstacles in the spring, whether it be injuries, low numbers, or youth,” said head coach Lesle Gallimore. “Tonight’s match we had a few different puzzles to solve and I felt the team did that. Jessika Cowart and Natasa Eleftheriou played at center back and left back, which neither has done for us so far in their careers. They adjusted and were both more than solid in their play.”
