Seattle Reign FC release 2018 NWSL Season Schedule

SEATTLE, WA — Seattle Reign FC today announced their schedule for the 2018 National Women’s Soccer League regular season. Reign FC also announced that single-match tickets for the home opener against the Washington Spirit are now on sale. Prices begin at $20 and can be purchased online at

reignfc-croppedSeattle Reign FC enters their sixth season in the NWSL with a revamped squad and staff. Two-time NWSL Champion Vlatko Andonovski will serve as head coach, coming to Seattle after five seasons with FC Kansas City. The roster will feature some familiar faces, such as Welsh international midfielder Jess Fishlock and U.S. Women’s National Team superstar Megan Rapinoe, both of whom are entering their sixth season with Reign FC, as well as several world-class newcomers, including U.S. WNT midfielder Allie Long, Danish WNT defender Theresa Nielsen, Australian WNT defender Steph Catley, and English WNT forward Jodie Taylor.

NWSL-Logo_no_textDuring the 2018 NWSL regular season Seattle Reign FC will play 24 matches – 12 home matches and 12 away matches. Reign FC will play each team three times this season.

The home schedule consists of 9 weekend matches (7 Saturday matches and 2 Sunday matches), including the season opener against the Washington Spirit on March 24 at 7:00 pm. Reign FC will also have 3 weekday matches at home (2 on Wednesday and 1 on Tuesday).

Reign FC home matches do not conflict with any Seattle Storm or Seattle Sounders FC home games during the 2018 NWSL regular season.

All home matches will be played on the UW Medicine Pitch at Memorial Stadium, where Reign FC posted a record of 5 wins, 3 losses, and 4 draws during the 2017 season, with a +9 goal differential. This will be the fifth consecutive season for Reign FC at Memorial Stadium.

Seattle Reign FC will play two preseason matches prior to the start of the regular season. Reign FC’s first preseason match, against the University of Washington, is scheduled for Thursday, March 8 at 6:30 p.m. PT at Husky Soccer Stadium. The club’s second preseason match, against UCLA, is scheduled for Tuesday, March 13 at 8:00 p.m. PT at the SilverLakes Complex in Norco, CA.


Reign FC will not play during international FIFA breaks this season, as several players will be competing for their national teams during the weekends of April 7-8, June 9-10, July 28-29, and September 1-2.

Reign FC will have a three-match home stand twice this season. The first lasts from June 30 to July 11, while the second runs from August 15 to August 25. Reign FC’s longest road stretch lasts for 4 games, from April 15 to May 5. Reign FC will host 4 of their last 6 games at home on the UW Medicine Pitch at Memorial Stadium.

Reign FC’s annual Pride Match will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 23 against the North Carolina Courage.

On Saturday, June 30, Reign FC will host the Portland Thorns at the UW Medicine Pitch at Memorial Stadium at 7:00 p.m. Earlier that day, at 1:30 p.m., Sounders FC will host the Portland Timbers at CenturyLink Field. This will be the first time that Reign FC and Sounders play Portland at home on the same day, creating a unique back-to-back Cascadia clash that should not be missed.
