Bella Brown | M | 5’4 | Tumwater, Wash. | Black Hills High School
Rios is a two-time 2A All-State Honorable Mention selection, a two-time Olympia All-Area First Team midfielder, a four-time 2A Evergreen Conference First Team selection, and earned a 1600-meter championship in track and field in 2016. Off the pitch, Brown is a three-year member of the National Honors Society, and a four-year Evergreen Conference All-Academic honoree.
“A great all-around athlete with a terrific work rate and a love for the game of soccer,” Farrand said. “She has the ability to be a special player for us.”
Paige Devine | 5’6 | M | Ferndale, Wash. | Ferndale High School
Devine was a mainstay in the Eagles’ lineup over four seasons at Ferndale. In the last two seasons she scored 18 goals and tallied seven assists. Devine helped guide the Panthers to the program’s best season during 2014-15. This season she earned the Panthers’ Offensive MVP Award and earned first team all-conference. She also placed fifth at the state track meet in both 2015 and 2017. Off the pitch, Devine is an honor roll regular.
“One of the top athletes out of the Bellingham area,” Farrand noted. “She is a very solid number 10. I am definitely looking forward to he development within our program, both offensively and defensively, and has the ability to come in and make an immediate impact.”
Olivia Sloan | 5’5 | M | Spokane, Wash. | Mead High School
Sloan is a four-year mainstay for the Panthers. She helped guide the Panthers to multiple postseason appearances, including a GSL Championship and being named district champions. Sloan earned Second Team All-GSL honors and All-GSL Honorable Mention honors during her career at Mead. Off the pitch, Sloan is a four-year National Honor Society member and helped guide Mead’s DECA program to a regional championship.
“Olivia is a solid high school and club player,” Farrand said. “She has tremendous speed. She played mostly out of the back, but she will play at the seven or eleven for us. She has great speed and a fantastic ability to get to the goal and serve or finish.”
Makinzie Packwood | 5’10 | F | Clarkston, WA | Clarkston High School
Packwood set a single season record in goals (27) at Clarkston in 2016, before setting the career mark (65) during the 2017 season. In 2017, she tallied 23 goals and 10 assists. Packwood was named First Team 2A All-State, and Offensive GNL MVP in 2017. The year prior, she earned First Team All-League after earning Second Team All-League in 2015. Packwood was a three-sport athlete at Clarkston, competing in soccer, basketball, and golf. She earned First Team All-GNL selections for basketball (2017) and golf (2016). Off the pitch, Packwood is a four-year Honor Roll selection and a three-year member of the National Honor Society.
“She is a player that may have flown under the radar up here in the northwest,” Farrand said. “She has great speed and a great skill set. She is a potential replacement for Mackenzie Nolte. A great multi-sport athlete who competed, not only in soccer, but in basketball and golf as well.”
