SPOKANE, WA—Gonzaga’s men’s soccer team will be graduating seven seniors from its squad this year. For many of those players that will mean hanging up their cleats as they exit the world of competitive soccer. But a few will continue to pursue their dream of playing professionally, including left back Ben White, who was the fourth Zag ever drafted into Major League Soccer.
“It is something that I have always dreamed about doing ever since I was a little kid,” White said in a telephone interview. “You have that dream to play professional soccer and once it becomes a reality, it is pretty amazing.”
