Ellensburg High names Timko new boys soccer head coach

ellensburgELLENSBURG, WA—The Ellensburg High School athletic department announced Thursday that it hired Mark Timko as its new boys soccer coach.

Timko takes over for Levi Teasley who has coached the last seven seasons.

“Mark’s passion for soccer is contagious and he has a clear vision for the program,” said Ellensburg Athletic Director Cole Kanyer. “We are excited to see him build on the solid foundation of the EHS soccer program.”

Timko has coached at a variety of levels including high school girls soccer in Juneau, Alaska and locally the Central Washington Sounders club team in Yakima.

“I’m looking forward to winning,” Timko said. “I’m highly competitive, coached a lot of winning soccer in my life, and I think I can bring that to Ellensburg.”

Ellensburg starts its season on March 10 when it hosts La Salle.
