PRESCOTT, WA — Jose Gonzalez tallied a hat trick for Prescott High School’s soccer team, which will return to the state championship semifinals after a 6-0 victory over Evergreen Lutheran of Tacoma here on a foggy, rainy and chilly Friday afternoon.

A year after the Tigers lost a state semi to St. George’s of Spokane, 2-1, the two will meet again for a rematch this Friday in Sumner, Wash., at Sunset Chev Stadium.
“It’s nice to get back,” said coach Mark Grimm, whose Tigers last year finished with a 1-0 consolation win over Tacoma Baptist for third place in state. “The kids earned it. It’s been a pretty tough season, maybe the toughest since I’ve been running the program.
