PORT ORCHARD — Only one NCAA Division I women’s college soccer team plays its games indoors.
South Kitsap senior Savannah Foster will get a chance to kick inside the warm confines of the Kibbie Dome next year when she joins the University of Idaho. The Vandals, members of the Big Sky Conference, began competing indoors exclusively this fall.
“It’s so cool,” said Foster, who visited the Moscow, Idaho, school during the summer. The Vandals showed interest in Foster after seeing her compete for her Puyallup-based club team Washington Premier FC in a national competition in Chicago.
“They emailed me after one of my tournaments,” Foster said.
