GO! Launches On-line Service to Boost Participation for Youth Sports Organizations

goSEATTLE, July 25, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Driven by a widespread need to ease the burden on volunteers and coaches, GO! by Nicholson Facilitation & Associates, LLC has launched a membership site delivering practical how-to tactics on running youth sports organizations.

For decades, founder Ruth Nicholson has seen teams, clubs, leagues, and associations focus on coaching and teams, without providing off-field operational training and support. She believes the decline in youth sports participation is partially due to families souring on poorly-run organizations. “When organizations fail to have clear lines of communication, whether it’s playing time questions or scheduling updates, it creates a negative experience. Eventually, those experiences can cause a family to leave,” explained Nicholson. “Too often I have seen well-intended organizations falter because they lack effective systems and processes. Volunteers burn out, coaches get overwhelmed with operational minutiae, and families get frustrated, ultimately to the detriment of the kids. Providing good service isn’t difficult. People just need resources and training.”

The desire to help as many organizations as possible inspired Nicholson to create a digital library to give directors of coaching, board members, administrators, and team managers 24/7 access to practical guides, templates, and checklists proven to improve club operations simply and efficiently.

res-pd12-53815gsThe GO! On-Demand library contains five sections to make it easy to find the resources subscribers need: Financial Health, Board Productivity, Coaching Survival, Team Management, and Unpaid/Paid Staffing.

Former US Soccer Federation Director of Coaching Bobby Howe is one of the biggest fans of GO! “Ruth has developed a one-of-a-kind program. These practical tools ease the administrative burden on DoCs and build the effective team of adults in coaching, leadership, and administrative roles needed to support our players,” he explained.

Howe now contributes to the GO! Coaching Survival section. “What Bobby brings to GO! is pure gold,” raved Nicholson. “I am so excited to offer such amazing resources from a soccer legend.”

Subscribers see immediate results. “I recently put into action the GO! idea to delegate more duties to parents to assist my team manager. I now have an equipment manager, community outreach manager, and fundraising manager. I have found the parents want to be involved more often than not, and it has created a more cohesive environment for my teams,” reported Blackhills FC Head Coach Jessica Costello.

GO! On-Demand club subscriptions are $97 per month. They include 24/7 access to resources and live weekly training sessions for all club members.
