Washington Husky Men 2017 schedule released

washington_huskiesSEATTLE,WA — (school release) Washington men’s soccer announced its 2017 schedule on Monday, revealing a 20-match slate that includes 11 home matches to be played at Husky Soccer Stadium.

11 of Washington’s matches during the 2017 season will be televised by the Pac-12 Network, including nine Pac-12 and two non-conference games.

Washington has made 23 trips to the postseason, including four appearances under seventh-year head coach Jamie Clark. The Huskies made it to the third round of the NCAA Tournament last season and look to make a second straight appearance.

2017 brings a difficult regular season schedule for Washington, with games against seven teams that made the tournament in 2016 including two-time defending national champion Stanford.

The Huskies will have seven home games televised on the Pac-12 Networks including the home opener on Aug. 25 against New Mexico at 6 p.m. PT.

Washington will open conference play at home against Oregon State on Sunday, Oct. 1. The match at Husky Soccer Stadium will be broadcast on the Pac-12 Network.

The squad will play two more home games against San Diego State (Oct. 5) and UCLA (Oct. 8) before traveling to California to face two-time defending national champion Stanford (Oct. 12) and California (Oct. 15). All four games will be aired live on the Pac-12 Network.

The team will also have conference games on the Pac-12 Network at home against Stanford (Oct. 19) and California (Oct. 22), and on the road at UCLA (Oct. 29) and Oregon State (Nov. 9).

The Huskies’ non-conference schedule includes two televised matches against New Mexico (Aug. 25) and Loyola-Marymount (Aug. 27) and the season opener at Portland (Aug. 19).

The rest of the non-conference schedule includes matches at Akron (Sept. 1) and at Gonzaga (Sept. 7), Mercer (Sept. 10), Drexel (Sept. 14), Santa Clara (Sept. 17) and Utah Valley (Sept. 21).

Washington’s final non-conference match will be against cross-town rival, Seattle University on Sept. 24 at Championship Field.
