OSA FC knocked out of Open Cup by Reno

TUKWILA, WA— OSA FC advanced last week in the US Open Cup on penalty kicks but this week they suffered an exit from the tournament in the same manner at the feet of Reno 1868 FC at Starfire Sports Stadium on Wednesday night.

Here’s a report from the Reno camp.

OSA FC took a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute on a header from Eli Gordley. Reno drew level in the 30th minute on a flick right up the middle. The pass was converted by Dembakwi Yomba.

The match progressed through the second half and overtime with both sides having chances to win it. In penalty kicks Reno went ahead and OSA drew level, but finally a miss from the Seattle side was followed by the clincher in the 5th round.
