OSA FC advances in US Open Cup after penalty kicks with Sounders U23

SEATTLE, WA— Seattle National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) club OSA FC has advanced to the second round of the 2017 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. A 0-0 overtime tie with Premier Development League (PDL) club Sounders U23 was followed by a 5-3 penalty kicks shootout advancement for the home side at Memorial Stadium on Wednesday night.

OSA FC will now host USL club Reno 1868 FC on May 17 at 7:30 PM at Starfire Stadium in Tukwila in the second round of the USOC.

Seattle University Redhawks goalkeeper Josh Adachi was in goal for OSA FC in the PK rounds. He saved a failed chip attempt that lofted right into his arms. Meanwhile OSA FC made all five of their attempts, including the clincher in the fifth round by University of Washington Husky Handwalla Bwana.
