DiGiuseppe, a product of the LA Galaxy academy who grew up in San Clemente, Califorinia, has 28 appearances with 26 starts over two season with San Francisco, notching five goals and four assists in that span. He scored three goals with two assists last season.

DiGiuseppe earned All-West Coast Conference honorable mention last season.

“Anytime you can bring in players from a solid college program who also played at a high youth level, you’re only enhancing the environment that you provide for players,” Bird said. “Santi came recommended to me by Mike Muñoz, the LA Galaxy academy director and head coach of Galaxy II in the USL.”
