Reign FC ties NWSL home opener against Sky Blue FC

SEATTLE, WA— Seattle Reign FC hosted Sky Blue FC (New Jersey) on Saturday night before 3,500 fans at Memorial Stadium to kick of their 2017 National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) season. The match ended in a 1-1 stalemate.

The clubs exchanged penalty kick conversions in the second half. Megan Rapinoe gave Seattle a 1-0 lead in the 56th minute with her successful PK take.

Just six minutes later Sky Blue were level when Sarah Killion converted one for the visitors to make it 1-1.
