Reign FC Extends Partnership With Water1st International

reign-crownSEATTLE (March 22, 2017) – Seattle Reign FC announced today it has extended its partnership with Water1st International for the upcoming National Women’s Soccer League season. As part of the partnership Reign FC will be a sponsor of the upcoming Carry5 Walk for Water event.

“We are pleased to continue our support for Water1st. They have completed nearly 2,000 water projects in communities around the world without a single failure – an outstanding record of accomplishment from an organization that is truly transforming the lives of women and girls,” said Seattle Reign FC owner Teresa Predmore. “We hope our support will help bring attention to the important work being done by Water1st.”

“Our partnership with Seattle Reign FC is meaningful on many levels,” said Water1st International founder and executive director Marla Smith-Nilson. “They understand the immediate impact that access to clean water and toilets has on basic human health and have worked closely with us to help call attention to the challenges facing so many women and girls around the world.”

Reign FC and Water1st have been working together to reduce water access challenges across the globe since 2015. For the past two seasons, Reign FC have been a part of Water1st International’s Carry5 Walk for Water. This year’s walk is scheduled for Sunday, May 7th at 1:00pm PT at the Seattle Center Foundation.

“As an organization devoted to elevating the platform of female professional athletes, Reign FC also understands this is a gender-equality issue,” said Smith-Nilson. “We are grateful to the entire Seattle Reign organization for supporting our efforts to end the walk for water for women and girls worldwide.”

Reign FC Partner with Avanade
