MONTREAL—The Montreal Impact and Seattle Sounders bounced back from opening-week losses, drawing 2-2 on Saturday at Olympic Stadium after a late Seattle comeback.
The Sounders wore their new “Heritage” 3rd kit (all white) for the first time.
The Impact scored the first goal in the 17th minute, as Matteo Mancosu latched onto an Ignacio Piatti throughball and scored. Piatti chipped in with a goal of his own after the break, on a long counterattack that began inside the Impact half. Nicolas Lodeiro cut the lead with a penalty late for the Sounders, and Will Bruin chipped in with a scrappy goal in stoppage time to split the points.
