Twin City Union name Kyle Jones Head Coach of NWPL side

tcu_update_crestCENTRALIA/ CHEHALIS, WA—(Union release) Twin City Union FC is proud to announce that Kyle Jones will be taking over as head coach for the 2017 season.

“We had many coaches who sent in letters of interest.  Kyle’s presentation and letter of intent was impressive and very in depth!” Chairman Henry Gallanger said. “How can anyone who does that not shoot to the top of your list? At the end of this process, having spoken with a couple candidates, we kept coming back to Kyle and his intent to coach this team.”

Kyle comes with vast experience at the club, high school and college levels. He has been on staff with Black Hills FC since 2010 and is coaching a handful of teams as well as their current Director of Coaching. In 2007 Kyle coached both the boys and girls programs at Kentlake where he gathered Coach of the Year honors in the fall and the spring. He also coached at Capital High School in 2012 receiving the same award. Expanding on his experience he spent time on the coaching staff at St. Martin’s University as an assistant and goalkeeping coach. Kyle also holds a USSF B License.

NWPL Primary CrestWhen asked about this new opportunity, Coach Jones had this to say. “As a coach in the community I’m excited at the chance to be a part of what has been created at Twin City Union FC and to be a part of the growing culture of the club.”

Kyle takes over a team entering its second season in the Northwest Premier League. Last season Twin City Union FC finished the season third in the table in its inaugural season.
