Sounders U23 season ends in overtime playoff loss in Calgary

Dominic Russo gave Calgary a 1-0 lead in the 37th minute. Seattle drew level in the 47th on a scramble in front of the Calgary goal. Tom Teupen was the man to put it home to make it 1-1.

The Sounders U23 had a great chance to take the lead after a penalty kick was awarded to them in the 55th minute. However taker Andrew Wheeler-Omiunu had hi shot saved by Calgary goalkeeper Dylon Powley.

The match continued on at 1-1 well into overtime before the home side pulled away. In the 105th minute Arjeej  Sarkaria scored Calgary’s winner. They got an insurance goal to make it 3-1 in the 115th by Tofa Fakunle.

Calgary advances to the PDL Western Conference Semfinals.

The Sounders U23’s season is over as the side finishes with an overall PDL mark of 8-7-0.
