Vancouver gets a point towards EPLWA title, Bellingham moves up to second

Vancouver Victory FC drew 1-1 at the Apple Bowl against Wenatchee FC on Sunday night as they moved to within 6 points of their first ever Evergreen Premier League Championship.

V2FC took a 1-0 lead in the 62nd minute when Gabe Parrish provided the assist on a goal from Sean McManamon. The Capitals got even in the 73rd when Edwin Tinoco scored off of an assist from Eduardo Perez. It was Vancouver’s first-ever point in Wenatchee after dropping matches in the Apple Capital in 2014 and 2015.

Happy Hammers.

Bellingham United moved into second place in the EPLWA with a 2-0 win over South Sound FC on Sunday afternoon at Civic Stadium in Bellingham. The Hammers got two early goals that held up for the triumph.

Kyle Witzel scored for United in the 4th minute then Thiago Novis added insurance in the 14th minute. The loss eliminated South Sound from title contention.

Tyler Vistin got the shutout for BUFC. Evan Munn kept the Shock in the match with several spectacular second-half saves.
