ISSAQUAH, WA— The Issaquah Gunners took a 3-1 victory over rival Seattle club OSA FC Friday night at Issaquah High School’s Gary Moore Stadium in WPSL Northwest Division action.
The match was for the most part a defensive standoff until a flurry of late goals. Issaquah took the lead 1-0 in the 41st minute on a penalty kick conversion from Team Captain Macy Jo Harrison. That was it until the 77th minute when the Gunners got a second goal. This time it came from Kelsey Passapaglia off of an assist by Amber Davis.
It was 2-0 home side, but that just opened up the gates as both sides would score before the final whistle. OSA came back with a strike from Tafara Pulse in the 80th (Kenya Cordner with the assist) and then Issaquah regained their 2-goal cushion when Rachel Wheeler scored in the 88th.
