BREMERTON, WA— The Kitsap Pumas (0-1-1) won’t soon forget Friday the 13th — of May, 2016. It began with preparations for a trip to Oregon to play Lane United in their second PDL match of the season and ended with the club at -2 points in the standings and without a key defender for their next match.

The Pumas learned that the PDL had docked them points and taken away a win earlier in the day, then they went out and drew 0-0 with Lane United in the evening, capped off by a second-half red card ejection to defender Cory Keitz. He’ll miss the next match for Kitsap, another league encounter against Washington Crossfire on Monday.
Kitsap goalkeeper Matt Grosey made a series of key stops in the 0-0 draw, including a double-save in the second half, to keep Lane off the score sheet.
The Pumas had the majority of scoring chances, including when forward Hamza Haddadi smacked the crossbar on a volley from distance. Center back Rene De Zorzi also made a last-second tackle inside the penalty area in the 82nd minute to preserve the draw.
