BREMERTON, WA— The Olympic Force finished their regular season Western Indoor Soccer League campaign Saturday night at the Olympic Sports Center in Bremerton with a comprehensive 13-4 win over Sporting Everett. Olympic (9-1) is now in countdown mode to Saturday February 20th when they host a WISL playoff semifinal. The opponent has yet to be determined, but could be Sporting, the Tacoma Stars Reserves or Snohomish Skyhawks.
Despite the loss, Everett (4-5) remains in 4th place and in a playoff position. Sporting is now scoreboard watch to see what the Stars Reserves and Skyhawks do the rest of the way. Sporting has one match left to play, next Saturday February 13 in Vancouver.
In other scores from Saturday, Bellingham United kept pace with Olympic with a 7-3 win in Snohomish. In Olympia it was a blowout as Vancouver Victory recorded a 13-6 win over the Artesians. Bellingham United (8-1) can clinch the regular season title in the WISL with a win next Saturday at the Bellingham Sportsplex against their nemesis, the Tacoma Stars Reserves. The Hammers have never beaten the Reserves, going 0-3 last year, including a 6-2 loss in the WISL Final. This season Tacoma has given Bellingham their only loss, 7-5 at the Tacoma Soccer Center.
